Our stay at Sagecliffe was memorable, featuring stunning views of the Columbia River Gorge and a relaxing atmosphere perfect for unwinding. We appreciated the delicious dining options and enjoyed our spa treatments, though there were a couple of issues with room amenities that could use improvement for a more satisfying experience. Overall, it's a lovely place for a special occasion, but it could benefit from a few common-sense upgrades.

The Cliff House room was visually impressive but had a few practical issues, such as insufficient lighting and a lack of mirrors outside the bathroom. Despite these shortcomings, the beds and linens were top-notch.

The service at the restaurant was commendable, with our server being attentive and friendly. However, the long wait for dessert was a bit of a letdown.

Dining at Tendrils was a highlight, featuring excellent dishes and a well-presented menu. Our main courses were delightful, although our dessert experience left room for improvement.

The spa and the outdoor pool area looked inviting, although the pool was closed during our visit. The landscaping was lovely, making it nice to wander around, though keep in mind it requires some uphill walking.

I stayed at the resort for a night hoping to enjoy a unique experience, but it left me a bit disappointed. The views are truly stunning, and the yurts have a nice spacious feel, but the atmosphere felt a bit neglected overall. The dining options were limited and pricey while the facilities left much to be desired. I'll think twice before returning.

Rooms

The yurt we stayed in was spacious but felt more rustic than luxurious. The bed was comfortable enough, but the furnishings seemed mismatched.
Service

The staff we encountered were friendly, but there were noticeable gaps in service efficiency, especially during peak dining hours.
Location

The views of the gorge are breathtaking, but be prepared for a lot of walking on uneven paths to get around the property.
Dining
5.0
Dining at the on-site restaurant was decent, but the menu felt overpriced given the delays we experienced. It’s the only dining option available, which adds to its limitations.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities seemed outdated, and some were not fully operational during my stay, like the pool area, which was a letdown for a resort.

Our stay at SageCliffe Resort and Spa was an absolute dream! From the stunning views of the Columbia River Gorge to the cozy atmosphere, it truly felt like a rejuvenating getaway. The only drawback was the accessibility of certain amenities, as some rooms required a bit of a hike to reach. However, the overall experience left us eager to return for more adventures and relaxation.

While the yurts offered a unique and comfortable stay, some maintenance issues were noted. The onsite restaurant served delicious food, enhancing the overall experience. The resort boasts breathtaking views of the Columbia River Gorge and offers a unique lodging experience with comfortable yurts. However, the cleanliness of the rooms leaves much to be desired, and the lack of Wi-Fi in the accommodations can be inconvenient for guests. Additionally, the construction noise starting early in the morning can impact the overall relaxation.
